Important Membership Information

PRS Membership renewals begin from the middle of this September.

 

We’re pleased to announce that we are keeping the renewal prices the same as when you first joined.

 

Auto Renew

 

If you joined and paid online you will be automatically renewed on your renewal date subject to the payment going through successfully.

 

If you clicked auto renew but did not make your original payment online then you can pay through your online Member’s area from the day of your renewal. You can also call us on 0333 321 9418 for us to assist you to make payment over the telephone or send you an invoice to pay by bank transfer.

 

Non Auto Renew

 

If you did not select auto renew you will be able to pay for your renewal in your online account from 30 days before your renewal date.

 

If you would prefer to pay over the telephone or by bank transfer, then please contact us by telephone on 0333 321 9418.

 

If you paid online and did not click to Auto Renew, but would now like to do so, then please log into your online account and update your preference in the ‘Membership details’ tab.

 

Change of Membership Model

 

If you chose to join the PRS on our Entry Model membership option and this year you wish to upgrade to the Enhanced model membership, then you are also able to do this via your online account. The option will be available on your dashboard from 30 days prior to your renewal date.

 

Additional Branches

 

Please note, if you have added additional branches during the year, you would need to contact us via email or by telephone, so we can ensure they are added to your renewal and update your renewal fee to reflect this. It is a requirement of PRS membership that all active branches are registered with us.

 

Once you have completed your membership renewal, the PRS will then issue you with a new membership certificate and pack.

 

Legal Compliance

 

We would like to remind you that if you are a Property Agent and you do not renew your PRS membership or join another government authorised redress scheme, then you will be breaking the law.

 

We are required under the terms of our authorisation to inform Trading Standards of any Agent who does not renew their membership. The fines for not being a member of a scheme are £5,000 for Letting Agents and £1,000 for Estate Agents. Both fines can be issued to the Agent.
